Neighborhood of Flags
Upon each of the following listed Flag Holidays, our Scouts will place a solar powered, American Flag in your front yard before the holiday and will recover the flag at the end of the holiday. Here is our planned 2025 placement and retrieval calendar:
Martin Luther King Jr. Day- 17-20 Jan
President's Day- 14-17 Feb
Memorial Day- 23-26 May
Flag Day- 13-15 Jun
Independence Day- 3-6 Jul
Patriot's Day- 10-11 Sep
Veteran's Day- 10-11 Nov
Weather depending, we may place the flag a day or two early or recover the flag a day or two after the holiday. We will only recover the flag when we are sure it is completely dry and safe to store until the next Flag Holiday.
The funds raised from this program supports our Scouts and Troop 544 in delivering a vibrant Scouting Program to the City of Fort Walton Beach.
Your subscription will renew annually, and you may cancel your future participation in this program at any time. A notice of renewal will be sent by email the month before your subscription renews. Please take careful note. Due to our limitations, we are currently only offering the flag service near our Scout Hut- This includes all areas South of the Cinco Bayou Bridge and East of Eglin Parkway. This is known as the Ferry Park, Elliot Point and Yacht Club Neighborhoods. Please look at the highlighted portion of the map for the areas supported. If you have any questions, please contact us before you make a purchase. Some external fees cannot be refunded.
